I love your approach to taking this picture, there's much to appreciate. You're lighting and control of black/dark areas was really good and the backdrop fits well in the Mononoke universe. You were precise in popping your character from the background and there is so much to be said about the eyes and the facial expression, very well lit and managed in the photograph, tilting the angle was not an approach I would've taken, but I would've been wrong. The only thing though, in her waist you can kind of see a blue line from something (piece of wardrobe??) and I would have cropped that out. As a purely stylistic perspective, I would've messed with the colors a little bit to get some more of the feel of the environment from the movie. I feel that if you are photographing characters from which there is a rich back story, the more successful approaches to photographing that is making the photograph match the world it's attempting to portray. That's just me. I love the picture, you are clearly getting exponentially better, congrats!
